Class Descriptions/Tuition/Shoe Requirements

Mommy and Me Classes:

This is a 45 minute class for ages 2 1/2 - 3 years old and moms. (meeting once weekly) Children will learn basic motor skill movement, along with tap/ballet and tumbling basics. Creative movement and fun exposure to dance class will be the focus. This class will run in segments of 6 lessons/session. Tuition: $54.00/6 week session.

Combination Classes:

One hour class/week for preschool-2nd grade. Class placement will be with other dancers of similar age. Tap/ballet technique and terminology are taught. Basic tumbling skills are incorporated. Tuition: $40.00/month

45 Minute Classes:

Those enrolled may choose any 45 minute class of tap, ballet or jazz weekly. These classes are for dancers ages 3rd through 8th grade with previous dance experience. Class placement will be with other dancers of similar age. Tuition: $30.00/month

Jazz/Lyrical Ballet Classes:

One hour class weekly consisting of jazz and ballet. This is for dancers ages 9th-12th grade, with previous dance experience and prefer a more interpretive/modern ballet style. Ballet terminology and technique will be stressed as well as jazz technique. Tuition: $40.00/month

1 1/2 Hour Classes:

This class is for ages 9th-12th grade with previous dance experience. The weekly class will consist of tap/ballet/jazz. Technique and terminology will be stressed. Tuition: $60.00/month

Jazz/Hip Hop Class:

This one hour weekly class is for 3rd-6th grade. (Dancers will be placed with similar ages.) This is for the recreational dancer and requires no experience. Jazz technique and the latest in hip hop moves will be taught. Tuition: $40.00/month

Jazz/Kick Line Class:

This one hour weekly class will be divided into 5th/6th and 7th/8th grades. Jazz terminology and technique as well as preparation for high school team kick line will be the focus. Tuition: $40.00 month

1 Hour Adult Class:

Whether you've had experience or not, this class is packed with a great workout an hour/week. The class will learn tap technique as well as ballet and jazz fundamentals. Tuition: $40.00 month

Ballet Technique:

This is a 45 minute class/week for dancers who are serious about improving their ballet skills and technique. Tuition: $30.00/month

Pointe/Ballet:

For the serious ballet dancer who's had at least 6 years of ballet and is age 13 or older. Those registering must receive approval from the director for enrollment. Tuition: $40.00/month

Competition Dancers:

Competition dance groups have been selected for the 2010-11 dance year at NPDC. Dancers are selected by invitation only. Criteria include: Attitude, ability, stage presence, cooperation, team spirit and abiding by the rules for competition dancers. The instructors at NPDC observe dancers throughout the year and selection is made based on the criteria. The class room is the dancer's "audition". Tuition is listed on the registration form for individual competition groups.
